2/15/2016 1 Comment "Yes!" CardsHi My Love, I hope all is well with you and you are growing closer & more intimate with The Father everyday! What a privilege we as believers have to draw close to His heart! Today's Bible Study bloggling is all about "Yes!" cards. "Yes!" cards are just like a vision board but smaller & created more often. A vision board is a collage of pictures, drawings & words that represent your goals & God-given dreams usually done on a letter size piece of paper or posterboard. Think of "Yes!" cards as mini-vision boards. Let's take a Bible study moment and read in Habakkuk what God says about writing down our vision: Then the Lord said to me, “Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. 3 This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed. As we study the Bible we see it important to keep our vision in front of us! "Yes!" cards are created on index cards or playing cards; collaged with pictures & words all the things you want to say "Yes!" to in your life. They're smaller than a vision board so you can tuck them in your purse and keep them with you throughout the day (I used to create a vision board and forget to look at it - that takes care of this problem) and they're created more often so you can constantly keep the "Yes!" vision fresh in front of you and adjust it if you need to.
Thanks for reading! I believe this will encourage you to dream & imagine what's next in God's "Yes!" for you. Even if you don't create a "Yes!" card quite yet, I bet it will have you dreaming about God's plans for you.
This Bible Study bloggling has been a lot of fun to write. In fact so much so that I'm gonna' collage another "Yes!" card just as soon as I sign off. That being said, God bless you!

Great news!
There's a new "Coffee Break Bible Study Sheet" available for you! It's titled "Citizens of Heaven" and is designed to: *strengthen your identity in Christ *empower you to walk in your heavenly authority here on Earth *build you up in God's Word This new Coffee Break Bible Study sheet has been completed for quite some time now but with a powerful sister in Christ haven preached last night on this very subject; it seemed quite timely to share this with you now. Be encouraged. Be strengthened. We must be about the Lord's work now! This morning while sleeping (& in that “in between” state) God gave me a little lesson. As followers of Christ, we all know the truth that Jesus is The Way, The Truth and The Life. He is (to put it rather simplistically) our entrance ticket to heaven. To see a movie we need a movie ticket. To get on an airplane we need an airplane ticket. To see a play, we need a play ticket. So why then would we expect that we can get into heaven without a ticket; by our own “good” deeds? It’s as absurd as saying to the man at the movie theater, “Well, no I don’t need a movie ticket to get in, I just washed my neighbor’s car.” Or saying to the airline clerk, “Let me on! I don’t need a ticket, I just donated $25 to the poor.” As nice as those deeds are, and as nice as it would be if we could pay for purchases with good deeds, it just doesn’t happen that way. **WHAT MAKES US THINK WE CAN PAY FOR HEAVEN WITH GOOD DEEDS?** No amount of good deeds pays for my entrance into heaven. It’s not about doing enough good. It’s about realizing there was just too much bad…and the only way I could be washed clean was by the perfect sacrifice; the cleansing blood of Christ. His blood; the only sufficient payment for my entrance into heaven. Bible Verses: “But here is how God has shown his love for us. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 NIrV “We have been set free because of what Christ has done. Because he bled and died our sins have been forgiven. We have been set free because God’s grace is so rich.” Ephesians 1:7 NIrV “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 NIrV “…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 NKJV Resources:

2/24/2015 1 Comment A Quick Way to Improve Your Situation...and you have everything you need to do it now! Hi Angelface, Are you in a situation right now that feels hopeless? A situation sucking the lifeblood out of you or maybe just feeling bored and hoping for a zesty change of pace? Here's 2 steps that I believe will help improve any situation... 1) If you've been complaining about the situation...STOP IT! 2) START praying about your situation! “Do all things without grumbling and faultfinding and complaining [against God] and questioning and doubting [among yourselves]…” Philippians 2:14 AMP God's Word says that life and death are in the power of the tongue. Science has confirmed that words have energy. If we are feeling frustrated, annoyed or just plain peeved off over a situation and we feel at liberty to go on & on & on about how we've been wronged or how bad our life sucks then guess what?? It's actually making your situation worse! You have now released a cloud of negative energy into your atmosphere. Boo :( Sadface :( God has better way of handling situations that frustrate us! "Don't worry about anything. No matter what happens tell God about everything. Ask and pray, and give thanks to Him..." Philippians 4:6 NiRV
"Then God's peace will watch over your hearts and your minds. He will do this because you belong to Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7a NiRV Yes, even if we're completely frustrated over the situation. Yes, even if someone clearly did us wrong. Yes, even if we feel so angry that that our eyes begin to water. Do it God's way! As we are obedient and complain about nothing and pray about everything we are showing God we trust Him, We are showing God we believe He will do just what His Word says and we are opening up a faith-filled opportunity for Him to move on our behalf. Sure, we can talk with a trusted friend about the situation. But first, take it to God! Make sure when you talk about it that your heart is free from any negative emotions attached to the situation - that's where taking it to God first comes into play. God is good!

Do it now. 9/30/2014 1 Comment Get Your Color On!Sometimes we just need to pick up a crayon, turn on some great worship music & COLOR! One of my favorite activities as a kid was coloring in a coloring book with my mom; she'd pull out this huge can of crayons (an old oversized Danish butter cookie can), pull out the Sesame Street & assorted other coloring books and we'd enjoy coloring together. Not much talking - just coloring! We all used to color as kids! Why do we stop as adults? It's therapeutic, relaxing & gives the creative part of our brains a chance to come out and play! I'm sharing this post today because just yesterday I had a crave to simply color; not create something elaborate & precise but just to simply color with crayons. I wanted it to be something based on Scriptures and not super "Sunday-schoolish"/young. So I whipped up the "rejoice" picture below. She came from a simple urge to color with crayons! (You ever get that urge?) Enjoy!
My finished coloring page...listened to Misty Edwards music while coloring...loved it! Lol, I would absolutely love to see your finished coloring page...admit it, it's fun to color! :)
Sign up for inspiration, tips & art designed to strengthen you in your walk with Jesus Christ! You see, just over a year ago some major changes in my life were initiated. Stepping out of my comfort zone as the excellent caterpillar I was and moving into the butterfly transformation process. It was a time of unsuredness (is that even a word?) & really wanting the next step to be revealed. So, I drew the first picture as a reminder to myself to stop trying to figure every detail of my life out (aka "freaking out!"), to trust God and in the meantime worship Him as He goes about doing His good work in my life. FAST FORWARD to my life right now. Uh...yah...so...my butterfly is definitely emerging but yah, it is still a time of unsuredness (there's that word again). But please let me clarify...unsuredness in what is coming next but SURENESS - CERTAINTY in HIM! That is why I can lift my hands and in the meantime worship...because I know He's up to something good in my life (in me & for me!) That is why I can lift my hands and in the meantime worship...because I know He's up to something good in my life You see, I'm waiting on some things. Things I would REALLY like to see happening now but...in the meantime worship. My husband & I feel a call to minister together and are waiting on direction...in the meantime worship. My husband & I want to move to a smaller place and focus more money on the gospel and are waiting on direction from God on how to proceed concerning our current real estate...in the meantime worship. Bills...in the meantime worship. Does the work I feel called to do make any difference...in the meantime worship. You get the picture. One of the very (emphasis VERY) best books I've ever read on this topic is Joyce Meyer's "The Battle Belongs to the Lord." The whole premise of the book is, "...for the battle is not yours, but God's." 2 Chronicles 20:15 The page above is a page I've folded and currently open to a couple of times a day! If you're going through a similar situation where you'd really like things to happen NOW but it seems to be taking awhile, I wholeheartedly recommend this book. You can order it by clicking on it's picture above. It's normal Amazon prices but I get a cut. Yay! So there's the story of my painting. A year's journey that leads you & me here to me typing these words and you reading them. I find the painting beautiful. I find myself just staring at it, using it as a meditation and being uplifted by it. She's beautiful and worship is a beautiful place to be. I'll be praying for you! Will you please be praying for me. Opportunities for my husband & I to minister together and how to proceed concerning our real estate. My painting is for sale! She's 10"x8", matte finish, and on the edges I wrote the words of the worship song that my spirit sang as I painted her. Indeed she ministers to me, but in the end my work is to encourage others in Christ. $32 shipping plus shipping.
What a privilege to share with you. Will you send me links to your blogs? What is Christ doing in your life? You can leave comments below so that we can encourage each other or even email me at alleka1@aol.com God willing, we'll chat again soon but until then...in the meantime worship. 6/4/2014 0 Comments Rejoice!Hi Friends, Are you in need of a good dose of rejoicing? Then open wide and shout with me, "WOOHOOOOOOO!" No matter what your current position in life or where you're headed, I say we rejoice! No matter if it's been a poopy day or a party day, I say we rejoice! "But how can I rejoice when I'm not living my dreams, my job dulls my brains out, there's bills to be paid and I'd really rather just hide under the covers and build myself a impenetrable blanket cocoon?" We can rejoice because we know God is up to something good in our lives. His Word says it! "[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight." Philippians 2:13AMP In honor of rejoicing, I've created a new "Rejoice" Blessing Blasts card chock full of rejoicing Scriptures for you to declare over your life. And, I'm sharing with you a rejoicing secret of mine....shhhh...don't tell anyone but sometimes I put on a party hat at home just to celebrate the good things I know God is doing in my life. Even if I have no idea what good things He's up to you, I know He's doing something good in my life (whether behind the scenes or front & center) and I can rejoice! Won't you join me? :)
Hi My Darlings! How's your journey? Where has God been taking you lately? May I share with you where He's taken me? God has got me on a journey lately all about VALUING ME...sweet & simply desiring to be the full & free expression of who He created me to be. (And doing so from deep inside, not just a mental consent, but deep inside.) No excuses. No apologies. No overthinking it. No comparisons. Just expressing...me. I mean Him. I mean Him in me. After all, realistically I am not even my own; I'm all His and when I can submit and just allow a free-flow expression of His love through me then BINGO...spiritual sweet spot! I am SUPER loving it! :) If there's one thing that I could convey to you right now regarding what He's been showing me it's that you are of SUCH A HIGH VALUE. God has specifically designed you to get something of His work done on this earth. YOU. IN THIS PLACE AND TIME. WITH THIS SPECIFIC SET OF EXPERIENCE, TALENTS & SKILLS. YOU. Bless you My Love, Anne :) Have a few extra moments? Below are some pics, art, insights & quotes that go along with today's post. Enjoy!
Drew the below pic in bed this morning...catch the insight at the bottom: "God will never ask us to be anything other than ourselves empowered by His grace, love & strength." These two (above & beneath) really go with each other don't they? And lastly, here's a quote from Mike Huckabee that I heard on TBN today while flipping through the channels. I didn't catch it word for word so it's paraphrased best I could remember it but boy, does it go right along with where God's taking me lately. Mr. Huckabee was talking about how he would consider it a success if he could teach his children... "We value each other not on the product they create but by the person they become as they express what God put in them to share." Uh, did I already say this goes right along with what God has been teaching me lately?? 'Cuz it does!
God bless you! |
