Blogglings are quick bites of creativity & inspiration! You know, like a little duck is called a duckling - a little blog is called a bloggling! :) Here we go...
Hi Friends,
God is good and He's faithful and He's merciful and He's glorious and He's good & kind and...AMEN! In this month's bloggling I'm giving you this fun "5 Steps to Living Your Version" printable. I created it years ago for biblestudyboutique.com (the project I was working on at the time). I pulled it up today, reread it and was definitely still inspired by it so I'm giving it to you hoping it'll spark a little something in ya'! :) My urge right now is to edit & spruce it up a little bit but in previous blogglings I already admitted I'm a reformed perfectionist so I offer it as it is! Be inspired! ![]()
Don't forget! Each month I create a fun, creative topical Bible Study paired with a Scripture colorable and teaching & encouragement video (all for free)! The Bible study is only 2 pages long and designed to be completed as you enjoy a nice cup of coffee! If you'd like to receive those, sign-up below! See you at Creative Faith Cafe!

Happy April, Happy Spring! Happy, happy everything! This month I'm going to share with you a peek inside Creativity Club - a time when the ladies in my family get together to explore our faith creatively. It's been such an enjoyable time - the usual group is my mom, older sister Lynne and myself. We have simple Holy Spirit led Bible-based creative projects to work on - and the fruit has been so beautiful. Thank you Holy Spirit for leading us into all truth. *Use some of the below ideas for your own creative faith-based gatherings!
P.S. I believe in the ideas & products I've shared and if you purchase through the links I've provided, the Amazon price will stay the same but you will be supporting me & my work as a small portion of the purchase price will (hopefully) be sent my way.

Grateful Guide! Here's another tool I want to share with you guys that can help keep us in the right frame of mind. I call it the "Grateful Guide". Years ago I wanted a simple way to keep track of 1 thing I was thankful for each day. I'm more prone to the visual so I created these little boxes that you can draw or write in each day. Just 1 simple thing you're grateful for each day; nothing fancy - a quick word or simple scribble. The whole point is to focus on thankfulness...Did you know thankfulness is God's will for us? "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 We often say we want to know God's will for our life, well, here's part of it...BE THANKFUL! ![]()
![]() Here's a look at one of the messier pages from my July "Grateful Guide" from years ago. Wanted to encourage you just to go for it. Focus on gratefulness - even if you miss a few days or forget half a month ;)! More exciting announcements & new product info coming soon! *I don't like the word busy. It's the "b" word to me.
7/24/2018 2 Comments Remembering Loved OnesHey Creative Friends~ Today I share with you a special spread from my art journal. This was created about 2 years ago when my precious pooch of almost 20 years, Harvey, passed away. Harvey was a true gift from God and he taught Christopher & I so many things about patience, unconditional love & more that it certainly was a hard time of grieving after he passed away. During the grieving period it was so encouraging to get little notes, texts or emails from family & friends who had the chance to meet Harvey. It was so heart-warming to hear how Harvey touched their lives. I wanted a way to gather and reflect upon all the kind words that people shared so I created this spread... A cute pic of Harvey doing one of his favorite things; napping! I hand wrote the words that friends & family shared about Harvey into each heart. This process was so therapeutic and precious to me. It turns out it was such a special way for me to reflect upon, thank God for & commemorate Harvey. No artistic perfection here; just a true work of heART. In fact, it was such a therapeutic process for me that I created a playsheet based on this to share with others who have lost a loved one and need a tool to help them process and gather their thoughts & memories. I've shared it with quite a few people recently who have lost a precious loved one or pet. There's been so many posts from friends on facebook lately about losing a precious family member or furry friend that I wanted to share the playsheet so that it might help others through the grieving process just as it did for me. The files are below. Feel free to download and share. If you are going through the grieving process, I send you LOVE. As followers of Jesus we know He comes to heal the brokenhearted. May He cover you in His peace as you go through this hard time. Let yourself cry as much as you need to. Much love. ![]()

How do we reacquaint after this long blog pause? I know! We jump right back into this creative jamboree!
Well, that should be about it for this time. I've got a whole bunch more stuff I want to share but I'm on the 20 year plan so no hurry ;)! *Note to self: I'm writing this bloggling well aware that very likely no-one may read it but I'm using it as a way to organize my creative & inspirational spurts, a way to hold myself accountable and a way to learn & grow. I foresee as I do this, this will (hopeFULLy) morph into something that will end up creatively inspiring others. ![]() Buy my Bible Study Birthday Card from my etsy store today! It's here! It's here!
Please join with me in celebrating our new product release. "COFFEE BREAK BIBLE STUDY - BIRTHDAY CARD" My heart in this project is to encourage you (& your loved ones) in God's Word. I simply can't get enough of God's Word. His Word has & continues to change my life and I want to share it every chance I get!!! Instead of just giving a birthday card; give a birthday card that encourages people in God's Word and reminds them just how special they are to Him. The Bible Study inside the card is an encouraging Word reminding recipients that they are:
It's like a card & a gift all in one. (I gave one to my dear friend for her birthday. I purchased a pretty pen to go with it and voila - EXCELLENT, MEANINGFUL GIFT!) Please spread the word however you can - to encourage others in God's Word is my passion and God-willing, I will not stop. Smooches! 5/17/2016 1 Comment Permission Slips!Just yesterday I was listening to one of the speakers at the Hay House World Summit; an inspirational gathering of creative gurus, health nuts, business experts & more. One of the speakers I was listening to stated something rather simple yet profound, "GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION." Rather... "Give YOURSELF permission." In other words, don't wait around for someone else to give you permission. If you know you've got something to do, God-given gifts to share, give yourself permission to go out and do it. If you're a writer, don't wait for the book deal, write now. If you're a teacher, don't wait for the 10,000 seat church building, teach now. If you're an artist, don't wait for the gallery grand-opening, art now. If you're a singer, don't wait for the lead role, sing now. The guest speaker then continued by asking, "How many years have we waited for other people to give us permission?" With that said and without giving too many details on how I've lamely stood by waiting for other people to validate my gift (UGH), I give you your very own whimsical & wonderful permission slip. ![]()
Don't let the bright colors & perky fonts fool you - this self-reflection will strengthen you from the inside out and reaffirm the strengths & gifts God has given you to bless others. Give yourself permission to try new things, to get rid of old things, to downsize, to upsize or to just lay down and take a nap. Holy Spirit knows what you need and I have a feeling He's been talking to you about it. Take a deep breathe, ask Holy Spirit to guide you and then give YOURSELF permission. Jesus came that we would have life and have it to the full! P.S. #1: Don't go crazy! This is not permission in any way, shape or form to rebel against authority - this is about empowering you in your God-given gifts and on your God-given path - if one door is closed right now, give yourself permission to go find another
P.S. #2: To give credit where credit is due, I have also heard one of my favorite authors Sark teach about permission slips. I think creative genius Leonie Dawson has as well. Thanks ladies! 3/1/2016 2 Comments "Yes!" Cards - VoluncationsBible Study | Bible Study Tools Hi Beautiful, How are you doing? Have you created your own "Yes!" card yet? They are so fun to create! Small & undaunting yet they serve in keeping me on track with my dreams & goals. For those of you who are creative, we know that creating something comes straight from our inner being. When I create a "Yes!" card I know it's expressing truth from within...that's why I love my "Yes!" cards...I can look at them and each one resonates with a different part of me. Haven't created a "Yes!" card yet? Here's a mini creativity prompt for you: Take 30-60 seconds and Google pictures of your goal, vision or dream. Close your eyes and imagine yourself there! Create a "Yes!" card for all the different areas of your life. Family, career, faith-walk, home etc. I created this one a while back for Voluncations; the missions-vision my husband & I share together. This one is taped on the inside cover of my Bible and reminds me of the Voluncations Missions Trips Christopher & I have been on together and the MANY more we hope to go on in the future God-willing.
We've got to share the gospel in places like Nicaragua, Mexico, Honduras, Belize & more! It always strengthens my heart to know that more than the supplies or gifts we delivered, we shared the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ with them - that Word is eternal and will never fade - it's with them right now! Perhaps one of your goals is to share the gospel with even more people everyday. Have you ever considered sponsoring a child through Compassion International? Compassion International's Compassion Sunday is Sunday, April 24 and there are so many children whose lives you can change through sponsorship. (Christopher & I previously sponsored 2 kids through a similar organization and it was always so much fun receiving their letters & pictures. Imagine...you are spreading the gospel in a land you haven't even visited!) Wow! May we continually spur each other on to good works. May you be blessed in all your God-given dreams, goals & visions! :) #keepon God is good! |
